British-Polish involvement in Afghanistan
Today Poland has sent over 1000+ extra troops to Afghanistan, being only European country to support British to extend matching British increase of military presence. Watching both news from both countries, it seems like Polish decision was followed by similar British movement, that is: after withdrawing same amount of soldiers from Iraq (where Polish forces used to be the third force by quantity of troops, just after American and British).
There’s a lot of new gear to be tried out in Afghanistan this year, including manufactured in Poland HumVee, Hercules planes and most of all, ultra high-tech armored transporter called Rosomak – multi-bilion project with lots of combat modes and even gadgets like MP3 player on board to entertain soldiers during the fights :-O
