Budget figures

It’s funny how much lament is pouring out of media at the moment over the budget and predicted deficit in the upcoming years. It’s just sad that when the big plans that put all of us in this mess were being rolled out, no one seemed to mind and press any panic alarms. Back then was the time to do that, complain or even raise protests in order to stop privitasing the profits and nationalising the losses, all at the same time! Now we can just sum the hot air into cosmic (yet, tangible) figures up and there’s really no point in criticising the government for releasing figures which could be derived from all bail-out, stimulus and other packages that government was wrapping up well before Christmas. It’s a shame that the public, which is rightly ultimately driving the country’s policies seems to have no clue over government proposed packages at the time they’re being forged.
