Innovations are the only interesting place to be
You do want to be in the innovative business, because it’s the only place to be. Innovating means creating/building stuff that no one else is doing, even if this is on the verge of impossible, if you don’t know all the things in the making. No one who is ambitious wants to be building yet another something if that something is just marginally better than the next guy. Innovations are creating new product categories. Innovations are the only interesting place to be. If you’re a builder like I am the moment you realise you’ve spent too many days just following others is the moment you must leave and move on.
