Looking one month back
Today is one month and counting since I spoken with S. and stopped working on the breakthrough widget. According to the plan we had been one week to completing the phase one implementation. The discussion was also about the pace of development. It’s been one month later and the widget is still not running… It’s been one month…
So much of a change to unblock delivery. Actually the change went the opposite way – apparently it has delayed delivery. Whether the excuse this time is that they had to start from scratch or don’t have enough of people, it only proves my point: since I’ve been hands off the project, there are other factors to contribute to the project still not being live… Trust me, whether one will change their priorities or add a dozen of people these “factors” will impede this project and in fact any other project this year and the years after…
By getting off the train I’ve proven my point and the evidence is more than clear one month after I’ve done so. Whether someone will take the evidence on-board and actually have guts to admit they’ve picked the wrong horse is another question.
