The dress
The whole white/gold or blue/black dress discussion pinpoints one thing that I was fascinated for decades, which is that people perception of any picture or situation varies based on their particular point of focus and the details that our brains tend to discard as an error. Basically here some people discard the blue hint as a camera error, in which case they see white/gold (me), other discard the uneven gold as a camera error, in which case they see blue/black. Essentially we see what we want to see. And we can’t help it.
