The top job

It seems like a reoccurring pattern that in software development I’m quickly being progressed to some managerial role

I’m deliberately saying that I’m being progressed because the choice of software developer, software engineer or software architect doesn’t really match the true expectation companies often have of a candidate with an extensive software development experience. Numerous attempts gave me a lesson never take a job half way there and definitely never become content with a job which description doesn’t match my actual responsibility.

Instead I need to clearly remind employees or contractors of their needs based on the potential of our cooperation, strongly demanding the clear career path with a timeline, as well as compensation meeting the demands of prioritising different responsibilities a d workstreams.
